Did you know. . .

• every two seconds someone in America needs blood,
• blood is needed for mothers giving birth, premature babies, accident/trauma victims, open heart surgeries, cancer treatments, and many more,
• one hour of your time will provide the Red Cross with one unit of blood,
• one unit of blood can help up to three people.

How can you participate. . .

• donate blood
• encourage those in your area of influence to donate blood
• host the sign up table
• send out reminders
• register people at the drive
• manage the canteen (snack area)
• engage in conversation with those donating

This is a great way to engage the community as the staff and donors are in the building and to help those that are dependent on blood donations due to illness, injuries, or treatments.
